Despite the growth of alternative blockchains like Solana, Raman stated in a recent interview that the most prominent players in traditional finance, including BlackRock, Fidelity, and JPMorgan Chase, have consistently chosen Ethereum to develop their blockchain-based initiatives.

“Institutions are not trying to build memecoin casinos; they are trying to modernize markets from their fundamental principles,” Ryan noted.

Additionally, Ryan explained that this preference is due to Ethereum’s track record of uptime, the absence of counterparty risk, and the institutional precedent of being the longest-standing smart contract platform in the ecosystem.

It is worth noting that Etherealize is an initiative linked to Ethereum aimed at connecting its blockchain ecosystem with traditional finance and major Wall Street institutions.

On the other hand, the founders also highlighted a key change in the regulatory environment in the United States. While the bill on market structure known as the Clarity Act faces delays, the GENUIS Act has already acted as a catalyst by legitimizing the use of public blockchains for issuing and operating stablecoins.

According to Vivek Raman, this regulation “released the genie from the bottle,” sending a clear signal to banks and brokerages that using blockchain infrastructure is no longer an uncertain legal gamble.

As a reference, by reducing the risk associated with underlying pathways, the law has enabled traditional finance to begin transferring billions of dollars in tokenized money market funds and other assets to Ethereum, without waiting for a comprehensive market structure reform.

Ethereum’s Path Toward Mass Adoption

One of the most visible examples of this trend is BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, which was initially launched on Ethereum and later expanded to networks like Solana, Polygon, and Arbitrum. Currently, this fund exceeds $2,000 million in assets under management.

Similarly, JPMorgan Chase announced in December the launch of its first tokenized money market fund on Ethereum, with an initial investment of $100 million.

From a forward-looking perspective, Ryan and Raman expressed optimism about Ethereum’s future. According to Raman, the asset could undergo a structural revaluation, moving from a market capitalization of hundreds of billions of dollars to a multi-trillion-dollar level, with a potential price close to $15,000 per token by 2027.

The thesis of Etherealize’s founders is based on three core pillars: a fivefold expansion of the stablecoin market, similar growth in tokenized real-world assets, and the consolidation of ETH as a productive store of value, comparable to BTC.

“Ethereum is a civilization infrastructure,” Raman stated.

In response to doubts about the network’s capacity to absorb a massive influx of institutional capital, Ryan assured that Ethereum is ready for action, following recent protocol upgrades and the expansion of layer 2 scaling solutions, which have significantly increased data availability.

Finally, both emphasized that privacy is a key requirement for institutional adoption. In this regard, the development of zero-knowledge proof solutions (ZKP) enables private transactions and confidential interactions on a public ledger. According to Ryan, Etherealize is already collaborating with institutions to build ZK stacks focused on these use cases.
