A single hack could be the end. According to the latest data released by cybersecurity companies, most projects that suffer a hacking attack have little chance of regaining their former glory.
This data is quite sobering — nearly 80% of attacked platforms ultimately fail to bounce back. Security agencies have tracked and investigated these compromised trading platforms and DeFi protocols, and the results are concerning. Once a project's funds are stolen or its system is compromised, investor trust collapses, and rebuilding market confidence becomes as difficult as climbing a mountain.
This serves as a reminder to all participants: when choosing platforms and projects, security audits and protective measures must be prioritized. A bug or a vulnerability could determine the life or death of a project.

I have to question this 80% figure—what's the sample size? How many years is the tracking period?
Getting hacked once and it's game over—that's an absolute statement. The key is still whether the validation nodes are stable and whether the consensus mechanism can hold up.
Even with rigorous audits, vulnerabilities can't be completely prevented; ultimately, it depends on the redundancy design of the system architecture itself.
This is the real test of the degree of decentralization.

80% direct GG, this data is a bit harsh... A single vulnerability can really send a project away, no wonder so many projects die silently without a trace.

80% direct GG, how many people would be unable to sleep at night with this data... Choosing a platform really depends on security and review, otherwise you'll lose everything.
