Most people's brains are lazy. Psychologically, humans are cognitive cheapskates who, in order to save energy and gain a sense of security, tend to be lazy thinkers. Most people subconsciously delegate judgment, simply following the crowd or instructions. Even if they make a mistake, they consider it everyone else's fault, not theirs.
