DoorDash has confirmed an incident in Austin, Texas, where a driver allegedly used AI-generated photos to falsely mark an order as delivered. Customer Byrne Hobart posted information about the incident and noted that another user’s similar report involved the same driver’s name. DoorDash stated that it has permanently removed the driver’s account, issued a refund to the customer, and emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards fraud, utilizing technology and manual reviews to prevent platform abuse.
