## Chris Larsen Continues Massive XRP Movements: 50 Million Tokens in Transit

Blockchain analyst ZachXBT has highlighted significant movements made since mid-July by an address historically linked to Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen. This discovery reveals a mobilization of 50 million XRP tokens, a substantial portion of which has been directed toward trading platforms.

The numbers speak for themselves: approximately $140 million worth of XRP has moved to three addresses connected to trading exchanges, while an additional 10 million tokens have been sent to two newly created wallets. By comparison, the current price of XRP is around $2.09, illustrating the financial scale of these recent transfers.

Beyond these current movements, Larsen's situation indicates a management of substantial holdings. His wallet still contains approximately 2.81 billion XRP, valued at an estimated $9 billion. This massive accumulation contrasts with the gradual liquidations observed over the past few years.

The history of token withdrawals by key Ripple figures is not new. The U.S. regulator, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), previously pointed out CEO Brad Garlinghouse for personally selling $150 million worth of XRP during the 2020 fiscal year, over a three-year period. Meanwhile, Larsen and his wife are said to have liquidated $450 million worth of tokens between 2017 and 2020, marking a period of gradual divestment from their holdings.
