Day 15 update: +0.12 on a $16 position. Not exactly stellar performance. Had a rough session today—down double digits before I finally called it quits and broke even on the close. Sometimes that's a win. The bigger realization though? I've been overtrading lately, essentially battling myself more than the market. When you're the biggest obstacle to your own profits, it's time to step back and reassess the strategy. The market will still be there tomorrow.

the incentive structures here are arguably misaligned—self-sabotage tends to have non-trivial externalities on portfolio performance. historical precedent suggests overtrading correlates with what i'd call sub-optimal stakeholder alignment between your risk appetite and actual execution. path dependency's a bitch.

Fighting with yourself is the most亏, really heartbreaking

nah the data actually suggests overtrading destroys like 70% of retail portfolios tbh. you're empirically doing better than most by recognizing it early
