I recently looked into the Kindred AI project. To be honest, it's a bit complex, but I think the direction is quite right—it is still in the growth stage.

I quite agree with its idea—creating a truly memorable, understanding, and companionable AI character. This is quite interesting because most AIs eventually become just tools. But what Kindred wants to do is change this logic, transforming AI from a functional tool into warm companionship. In the current AI Agent track, this is indeed a worthwhile angle to explore.

What they do well is not just chasing trends but focusing on "relationship accumulation" as the core. This requires time, but the approach is clear. The project is still developing, but I am optimistic about its potential.

ngl, kindred's trying to do something different but feels like classic venture theater rn. "relationship accumulation" sounds nice on the whitepaper... until the leverage blows up and everyone rage-quits. watched too many "emotional AI" projects liquidate when the hype cascade ended.

I like the angle of relationship accumulation; it's much more reliable than those chaotic AI projects. That's right, most AI ultimately just become tools. The Kindred approach is indeed somewhat interesting. Creating a sense of warmth is very difficult, but persistently refining it is always better than following the trend. From functionality to companionship, it sounds simple, but few can truly do it well. AI with warmth is more scarce than cold, emotionless tools, and perhaps worth paying attention to. I give credit for not chasing the trend; at least the attitude is sincere.
