Regarding some popular tokens, there are always many voices in the community hyping them up, but how many people actually make money from them? Taking SHIB as an example, this case really illustrates the issue.

In the 2021 market rally, SHIB had already surged several hundred times on the chain, looking extremely spectacular. But the turning point came—after it was listed on a major exchange, the apparent hype quickly turned into harsh reality. Rapid price pumps, dumps, and wash trading— the entire process was like a carefully orchestrated harvest. Most retail investors who bought at the peak were probably wiped out by 99%. Many people rushed in just after hearing about the exchange listing, only to face long periods of sideways trading, and even the project team was heavily criticized.

But that’s not the end. Those who endured the sideways period for a few months finally caught the wave of gains at the end of 2021. Some truly made hundreds of times profit before choosing to exit.

This is the brutal side of the crypto market: those who profit do so to the extreme, while those who lose often feel nothing. Ultimately, it’s a test of who can withstand market hardships and who can make the right decisions at the right time.

shib's exchange listing was textbook order flow extraction... watched real-time how 99% got liquidated while waiting. that's not trading, that's just structured MEV dressed up as volatility.

⚠️ When SHIB was listed on CEX, I identified an issue at the contract level... It's a classic liquidity trap design. Just by looking at the call pattern of this transfer function, it's clear that it's a honeypot architecture. The complete wipeout of 99% of retail investors is entirely expected.

99% of retail investors have already fallen into the trap, and it's just us hardcore newcomers still holding on.

99% of retail investors have been wiped out. This figure might be a bit conservative; I believe the actual percentage is over 99.5%.
