#数字资产动态追踪 985 Top Student's Second Pitfall in the Crypto World: The Stories Behind Losing $120

The lessons learned from this loss are worth sharing with everyone.

**The most "tempting" market at dawn, but also the least clear-headed**

Staying up late to watch the market, eyes barely open, yet still forcing myself to buy the dip. Short-term trading is never 100% safe; it requires constant vigilance and continuous adjustment of strategies. In the late hours, when consciousness becomes fuzzy, I can only set take-profit and stop-loss orders and go to sleep, unable to respond proactively to sudden market changes. So I decided to try shifting to a medium- to long-term approach, or limit myself to trading only during the daytime—living longer is more important than making quick profits.

**Discipline in strategy is the key to survival**

Mechanical execution really works. Before entering a position, I always think about "what to do if the market moves like this."

actually, this whole "stay disciplined" thing reads like survivorship bias to me... like yeah, rules work *until* they don't and the market decides to do something nobody saw coming lol. but ngl the sleep deprivation angle hits different—literally trading while your prefrontal cortex is offline is just gambling with extra steps tbh.

ngl $120 is basically a tuition fee at this point, at least they're learning early that midnight chart-watching is just emotional gambling dressed up as "trading." if you look at the data, sleep-deprived decisions have correlation coefficient of like -0.9 with actual profitable outcomes, technically speaking.

I’ve fallen into this trap of bottom fishing in the middle of the night before. My eyes were blurry, and my mind was foggy, and in the end, I could only admit defeat. Those who watch the market in the early morning are among the most naive traders. If they haven't woken up yet, they dare to go all-in. Serves them right. Discipline is the key to survival. Short-term trading without stop-losses is gambling, not trading. Even a 985 university graduate can lose $120. How much must an ordinary person like me lose... It hurts. I have deep experience with mechanical execution strategies. Acting on emotions is a dead end.

Trading late at night is really a suicidal move. I almost got caught the day before yesterday at 3 a.m., but luckily I woke up in time. --- 120 dollars is nothing; the key is learning not to stay up late to do short-term trading. That’s worth it. --- Discipline is easy to talk about but hard to do. I still find it easy to break it now... --- Trading during the day is definitely more reliable; at night, your mind isn’t your own. --- The biggest enemies in the crypto world are probably yourself and insomnia. --- I’ve tried mechanical execution strategies, and I could only stick to them for a week before breaking down. --- Even top students from 985 universities have fallen here. It seems everyone is equal in the crypto world. --- The tempting market movements at dawn have wiped out many people's accounts...

Getting up to watch the market in the early morning is really incredible. Still sleepy, I want to buy the dip, but my mind is all muddled, and losses happen just like that... --- $120 in tuition fees is nothing, the key is to recognize that you're not cut out for overnight trading. --- Short-term trading is basically gambling. Honestly, no one can beat the market. It's better to stick to mid-term strategies. --- Setting stop-loss orders sounds easy in theory, but when the market moves against you, can you really stay calm? --- This advice to trade during the day is good; at least when you're awake, losses are slower than when you're sleepwalking. --- Discipline sounds nice in words, but in actual trading, who isn't slapped in the face? --- $120 is nothing. There are many more people in the crypto world who have been liquidated and are waiting to be chopped up.
