【ChainNews】Grayscale Investments has just submitted a preliminary registration statement to the U.S. SEC, planning to launch a new exchange-traded product with the ticker GTAO, focused on the TAO token in the Bittensor ecosystem.

This move is quite significant. According to information, Grayscale is converting the existing Bittensor trust into a spot ETF, with the entire process officially starting from the submission of the S-1 filing on December 30, 2025. If the SEC ultimately approves, GTAO will become the first TAO-focused exchange-traded product in the United States.

What does this mean? Previously, retail and institutional investors interested in TAO had to buy tokens on exchanges, manage private keys, and worry about security—raising the entry barrier. Now, with a regulated channel like GTAO, investors can participate in TAO through a standard stock account, making the process more convenient and the risks more controllable.

As a popular project in the AI infrastructure layer, Bittensor has always attracted institutional attention. Grayscale’s move is akin to leveraging its reputation and compliance experience to bring TAO investment into the mainstream financial system. For investors optimistic about AI x blockchain but still on the sidelines, this is a promising entry point. The approval process will take some time, but the signal itself is enough to trigger market reactions.

Grayscale is causing trouble again, this time targeting TAO. If the SEC really approves it, retail investors will finally be able to get rid of the hassle of managing private keys, which indeed changes the game. --- Is the TAO spot ETF coming? We have to wait for the SEC folks to consider it, but this signal is already impressive enough. --- Honestly, the regulatory channels are finally opening up, but I still wonder if this will boost TAO's price... --- GTAO? Sounds good, but I don't know when it will actually be implemented. --- I see through Grayscale's tactics: first pushing trusts, then transitioning to ETFs. This move is just paving the way. --- Retail investors can finally buy TAO with stock accounts? That's good, but it also means institutions will start cleaning up the market. --- Wait, does this mean large funds are about to enter? I'm a bit nervous. --- Regulation sounds wonderful, but I'm more concerned about how high the fees will be. --- TAO being recognized by the mainstream means this ecosystem has come a long way.

Grayscale is back again. Has Tao truly entered the mainstream this time? But whether the SEC approves or not is the real key. --- I just want to know how Tao's price will behave after this goes live—will retail investors flood in or will there be a sell-off? --- Wait, no, we need to wait for the SEC's approval. Don't celebrate too early. --- Finally, the official players are entering the market. Managing private keys on your own was indeed exhausting before. --- This feels like a signal that the AI agent track is being recognized.

Wait, Grayscale is making a new move again? TAO spot ETF? This time the threshold is really lowered. --- TAO is about to take off again, US retail investors can finally buy crypto just like stocks. --- If GTAO really passes the review, those institutional investors who have been wanting exposure but are afraid of private keys will be thrilled. --- Honestly, every time Grayscale does this, it means a certain project is about to get Wall Street's attention. TAO is secured this time. --- But when will the SEC approve it? How long do we have to wait... --- Private key management has always been a nightmare for retail investors. Having a regulated channel is indeed a good thing.

Oh no, Grayscale is causing trouble again, this time targeting TAO? The threshold is lowered now, everyone. If the SEC actually approves it, retail investors will be relieved, and they won't have to bother with the hassle of private keys anymore. The current popularity of TAO feels like only a matter of time. With ETFs coming, are institutions far behind? I'm a bit looking forward to this wave.

Grayscale is back to cut the leeks, this time targeting TAO... --- Will we really win big if the ETF gets approved? It doesn't seem that simple. --- Wait, does this mean we won't need to keep our private keys when trading TAO in the future? So all my previous paranoia was for nothing. --- Standardized channels sound good, but what about the fees? They will definitely take a cut. --- Grayscale's move is truly impressive, opening the door for institutional investors. --- Is the approval probability for the first US-based TAO spot ETF high? Shouldn't we be happy? Why do I feel a bit anxious? --- Basically, it's to allow those who can't self-custody to get on board, reducing risk and increasing convenience. --- Is the chance of SEC approval high? I feel like the policy direction is still uncertain. --- I've always said institutionalization is an inevitable trend; the era of retail investors is coming to an end. --- Now the big players can confidently buy large amounts of TAO. What about us?

Grayscale's move is pretty good; TAO is finally going through the official channels. If the SEC truly approves it, that will directly lower the entry barrier... Retail investors won't have to bother with private keys anymore. I'm a bit worried that after approval, TAO might experience another round of hype, but overall, institutional funding coming in is still a positive sign.
