The first trading day of the new year, the airdrop market has brought many highlights.

First is the official preview of the AIAV airdrop, which is the first project to debut in 2026 and has generated quite a bit of buzz. Next is the recent performance of $LISA, which has indeed been steady, with a fourfold point increase that ranks among the better levels for projects in the same period. For participants looking to accumulate Alpha, it’s a good choice.

But what’s more worth noting is the wallet TGE project on January 5th. This time, the hype is especially high, and many people are vying for quotas. Why is the attention so concentrated? The main reason is the difference in returns. Recent ordinary airdrops have generally been around 30U, and many participants frankly say they are just breaking even. However, TGE projects can often yield five or six times that—sometimes even more. This means that only participating in TGE has the potential to achieve truly excess returns, while the marginal gains from simply doing ordinary airdrops are already quite limited.

It seems that 2026 is opening like this: the differentiation in mechanisms and project quality is becoming more obvious, making choices more important.

It's rolled up now, ordinary airdrops are really not exciting anymore; you still have to watch the TGE to get some gains.

Haha, it really is getting competitive. A regular airdrop of 30U barely breaks even? Then I might as well just relax. TGE is truly an opportunity, but you also need to choose wisely, or you'll still end up as cannon fodder. LISA's 4x points are indeed pretty good, but these days, everything needs to be carefully selected.

It's rolled up now. The 30U airdrop is almost the same as free riding. You still need to watch TGE to make it interesting.

Honestly, the current airdrop competition has become a bit ridiculous. Can a regular project guarantee a 30U return? Might as well just go to sleep. That TGE project does have some potential, but the risks need to be considered too. Don't be blinded by the returns. Starting in 2026, it's clear that mechanism is king; those just following the trend are basically getting cut.

Another new trick to cut leeks, the ordinary airdrop with a 30U principal protection is really impressive. TGE project returns of 5-6 times? Come on, big players get the meat first while we drink the soup. LISA's 4x points sound good, but what about the risk? Has anyone raised concerns? If this continues to divide like this, retail investors will end up with just a little bit in the end.
