The contract account has seen a good increase these days, growing from an initial 300U to 900U. Then I decided to withdraw 500U to shift towards spot trading. Speaking of contracts, they do make money quickly, but there's a trap that many people tend to overlook—if the profits earned are always kept in the account, they are essentially paper wealth. Over time, it's inevitable that due to a mistake in operation or a market reversal, all the previous gains could be lost in one go.

That's why I have developed a habit: whenever the contract yields good returns, I immediately withdraw a portion. The benefits of this approach are quite practical—on one hand, it truly locks in the profits, and on the other hand, it forces me to stay rational and avoid blindly increasing my position. Traders with smaller capital especially need to impose such constraints on themselves; they don't have the luxury of making many mistakes. Proper position control leads to a more stable mindset.

Paper wealth sounds great, but how many people get trapped here Securing your gains is the real truth, otherwise it's all an illusion Agree, small retail investors really need to learn to take profits in time, or else a quick reversal will send them back to square one I need to learn this move, it's much more reliable than my reckless all-in Contracts are like this, profits come quickly and losses come just as fast, discipline is essential

That's right. Securing the profit in time is the real way to earn; paper wealth is just an illusion. Everyone who has suffered losses understands—ignoring it is like not making any profit. Playing with small funds in contracts requires such caution; one misstep and it's all gone. Making three times the profit and then losing it all back—seeing this happen many times... it's better to stop. Only with a steady mindset can you go further; greed should have been abandoned long ago.

The paper wealth aspect is absolutely well said; so many people fall for it here.

You really need to be cautious about paper wealth; it can vanish in a downturn.

Really, paper wealth is just a trap; you can make money quickly but lose even faster. I've seen too many stories of people whose contracts exploded and regretted it to the core. I also use this trick to withdraw in time; otherwise, it's really easy to lose your composure.
