Various predictions, goals, and grand visions flood in. Every year at this time, industry insiders start competing to shout the loudest, promising higher returns, faster implementation, and more prominent presence. It seems that the louder someone shouts, the more likely they are to win.

But there is an easily overlooked reality: infrastructure development does not restart with the turn of the calendar.

The things that truly drive industry progress—blockchain scalability, transaction efficiency, wallet experience, smart contract security—are all quietly advancing. They don’t need the New Year to arrive, nor do they require loud promotion. They continue to iterate steadily.

Perhaps the smart approach in 2025 is not to chase the loudest voices, but to find those solid projects and teams that are doing real work.

Yes, yes, yes. Where did those shouting calls from last year go? I only remember bragging every day. It's another annual prediction conference, talking all sorts of fancy stuff, but we still need to see if the actual code has made progress. Those who focus on building infrastructure quietly are the real ones; they don't engage in these虚的 (虚的 means "虚" or "虚假的" which can be translated as "virtual" or "hollow") things. To be honest, most projects are just chasing hot topics; truly serious ones are rare. Infrastructure is indeed easy to overlook, but this is precisely a good standard for selecting projects. New year, new atmosphere, right? And then it's time for new little leeks to be harvested.
