As the year draws to a close, crypto exchange Uphold has introduced a limited-time promotional campaign centered on its XRP debit card offering.

The initiative, branded as a holiday sweepstakes, is designed to encourage card usage while providing participants with XRP rewards and the potential for substantial cash prizes. The promotion combines routine spending incentives with a randomized draw structure, positioning it as both a cashback-style benefit and a sweepstakes event.

Under the campaign, eligible users who tap their Uphold Debit Card throughout the promotional window can earn up to 6% back in XRP on qualifying transactions.

Each completed card tap also functions as an entry into the sweepstakes, increasing the chances of being selected for one of the cash prizes. Uphold has emphasized that the opportunity is time-sensitive, with the campaign scheduled to conclude before the end of the month.

Eligibility and Geographic Scope

Participation is restricted in certain jurisdictions, with residents of Florida, Louisiana, New York, U.S. territories, and the U.S. Virgin Islands excluded. Employees of Uphold, along with their immediate family members and household affiliates, are also not eligible to take part.

The sweepstakes period officially began on December 16, 2025. It’s slated to end December 31, 2025, before midnight Eastern Time. Only entries submitted and recorded within this timeframe qualify for inclusion in the draw.

Uphold has outlined two primary methods of entry, reinforcing that participation does not require a purchase. Users who perform eligible transactions with the Uphold Debit Card during the sweepstakes period automatically receive one entry per completed transaction, regardless of transaction size. Transactions that are declined, refunded, or left pending beyond the end of the promotional window are excluded from consideration.

For those who prefer not to transact, Uphold also allows mail-in entries. Participants may submit their personal details via post, with each mailed entry counted separately, provided it meets the stated postmark and receipt deadlines.

Prize Structure and Winner Selection

Winners will be determined through a computerized random draw conducted after the close of the sweepstakes period. One participant will receive the grand prize of $10,000, while twenty additional participants will each receive $500. Each entrant is limited to a single prize, and all awards are non-transferable.

Winners will be notified by email and, upon verification, prizes will be delivered within thirty days. For Uphold account holders, funds will be credited directly to their accounts; non-account holders will receive payment via check.
