The project data center migration led to a data breach, and hackers stole $250,000 worth of assets. Compensation has been completed.

【Blockchain Rhythm】Another on-chain scare. A project in late December experienced a wallet data leak incident—caused by an accidental exposure of user wallet information during a data center expansion and migration. The team detected the issue immediately and froze the affected assets, but there was a problem: some users did not switch wallets in time and continued to operate with the original address.

Hackers clearly did not miss this opportunity. On December 27, they successfully decrypted the leaked data and began rapidly transferring assets. This resulted in an estimated direct loss of about $250,000. While the amount may not seem particularly large, for the affected users, it was a real loss of their funds.

It is worth noting that the project team responded quite quickly—by December 30, they had published a full incident summary and completed all compensation claims. Although the incident had already occurred, there was no unnecessary delay. This also reminds us that during upgrades and maintenance, data security and isolation must be prioritized, especially when dealing with users’ private information.

The data center migration caused such a big mess, truly impressive. Honestly, I was a bit surprised that the team paid so quickly; most projects would have already run away. By the way, it's also a mistake that users didn't switch wallets in time. They were given so much time and still procrastinated. $250,000 may not be a huge amount, but this debt must be remembered. At least it wasn't a complete failure. If it had been delayed another three months, I wouldn't believe they could compensate everything.

Data center migration can cause leaks, how ridiculous is that? --- Users not switching wallets in time is also a problem; hackers directly snatched 250,000, hilarious. --- At least the team’s compensation speed is okay, unlike some projects that drag on forever. --- Data security really needs to be taken seriously; it's always these basic mistakes. --- Once compensated, is it all over? The victims probably need a long time to recover psychologically. --- Even data center expansion can't prevent leaks; would you still dare to use this project? --- Not switching wallets in time is indeed partly your fault, but the project should also be more cautious.

Data center migrations can always go wrong; it takes a lot of skill to pull it off... But in the end, I still lost money, at least it wasn't a botched job.

Using the excuse of data center migration is really ridiculous; it feels like now everything can be blamed on infrastructure. The quick compensation is a bit suspicious, but it is indeed more reliable than most projects. That's why I never trust centralized things. Being able to compensate so quickly indicates either they are truly wealthy or they had a plan prepared in advance. Users don't cut their wallets, hackers come back to harvest the profits; this script is quite well written.

Data center migration can cause leaks, how outrageous is that? --- Fortunately, the team didn't shift the blame, and the quick compensation really saved face. --- $250,000 isn't small, and for ordinary users, it's a nightmare. --- How come some people receive alerts but don't cut their wallets? That's quite awareness. --- Hacking and decryption only take three days; I didn't expect such efficiency. --- The most unacceptable thing is that some people knew the risks in advance but didn't change their addresses. --- Is it just over after compensation? This security vulnerability needs to be investigated. --- Even basic operations like data center expansion can go wrong; I'm truly speechless.

The data center migration is really impressive; it was still wallet data leaked... The team responded quickly, at least preventing the issue from ending in failure.

Data center migration can really be prone to issues, but quick compensation definitely helped salvage the situation.
