According to the "2025 Blockchain Security and Anti-Money Laundering Annual Report" released by SlowMist, the security situation of the blockchain ecosystem this year is not optimistic. A total of approximately 200 security incidents were recorded throughout the year, resulting in a direct loss of $2.935 billion.

Interestingly, although the total number of incidents has decreased compared to 2024, the average loss per incident has increased—by about 46% year-over-year. This indicates that hackers are upgrading their methods, and the destructive power of individual attacks is strengthening.

From the perspective of affected mainstream ecosystems, Ethereum suffered the largest losses due to its frequent on-chain activities, totaling about $254 million. BSC follows closely with losses of approximately $21.93 million. Solana, attracted by its high-performance features, has a large number of DEX and lending applications, with losses around $17.45 million. These three main public chains account for almost all risk events.

Overall, 2025 is a year of urgent demand for blockchain security protection. Both project teams and users need to enhance their awareness of on-chain risks and improve their prevention measures.

Hackers are getting more aggressive, with a single attack's destructive power increasing by 46%. How much more should we defend against this?

Hackers are becoming more professional, and the losses from a single attack are actually getting bigger. This logic... is a bit hopeless.

Hackers are getting smarter and more cunning, with each attack doubling in destructive power... We need to be more vigilant. --- ETH accounts for most of the losses? No wonder people are getting liquidated every day. --- A 46% increase... This data makes my scalp tingle. We really need to pay more attention to on-chain security. --- 200 incidents may not sound like much, but $2.9 billion... We still need to operate cautiously. --- Honestly, most people don't realize how high the risks really are. --- Although Solana is fast, the amount of loss is still a bit outrageous. --- The key is that hackers are just as fast as us, making it hard to defend against. --- Another year of the leek-cutting competition; we need to learn how to protect ourselves.

Wow, did the hackers all upgrade collectively? The losses have actually increased by 46%. Now that's the most terrifying part.

Hackers are getting more ruthless, with the damage from a single attack doubling... This is outrageous. ETH is the prime target, but who can blame it for being the most lucrative? Everyone, just honestly focus on security checks and stop falling for phishing scams. This data looks really uncomfortable, with losses increasing by 46%... Are we too weak or are hackers just that good? Solana's performance is fast, but security still needs to be beefed up. $2.935 billion just disappeared like that, how many people got caught up in it... Another security seminar to be bombarded with, but it's really necessary to listen.

Hackers are getting smarter and more ruthless this time. *** Per capita losses increased by 46%? Damn, these numbers are really impressive. *** Ethereum is once again the biggest target; high activity levels come with a price. *** Solana attracts DEXs and lending platforms so effectively... but the risks are coming along too. *** While the number of incidents has decreased to around 200, the average loss per incident has actually increased, which is a real danger signal. *** Alright, time to start preparing and strengthening defenses again; we can't afford to be complacent. *** It seems hackers are now more competitive; fewer attacks but of higher quality. *** The $254 million on Ethereum... really hits hard. No project is immune. *** On-chain risk awareness is now truly a mandatory course; those who don't learn are getting wiped out.
