Hey everyone,

Recently I've been thinking about how we actually evaluate L1 blockchain projects worth our attention. Here's what I realized—the playbook has changed.

When assessing a new L1 today, forget opening the block explorer first. Instead, pull up GitHub.

Why? Because watching a project like Warden Protocol consistently push updates across their monorepo and community agent repositories tells you something fundamental that a polished interface never will. It's the difference between marketing theater and genuine engineering momentum.

A slick UI is just window dressing. Real strength shows up in the commit history, in steady iterations, in the unglamorous work of shipping actual infrastructure. That's where the real story lives.

If you're serious about spotting L1s with staying power, make GitHub your first stop.

Watching GitHub tricks is indeed more reliable than looking at those flashy dashboards.

Looking at the GitHub commit history is indeed a brilliant move. Compared to those meticulously polished UIs, you can instantly see who is actually doing the work.

Honestly, I've been using the GitHub commit history trick for a long time; it's a good way to distinguish newcomers.

Honestly, looking at GitHub is much smarter than looking at UI. How many projects rely on design to deceive people?

Check the commit history on GitHub to determine L1? That's correct, but I feel like most people still only look at coin price fluctuations...

Looking at GitHub commits is truly impressive; it's a hundred times more useful than looking at a bunch of flashy UI.

Looking at the GitHub commit history is much more reliable than those flashy UI interfaces... The true strength of a project can be seen from the code.

This logic makes sense... but I will still check the gas tracker first, after all, even the best project is pointless if it can't run properly.

I've already started with this GitHub setup long ago, it's much more reliable than those flashy dashboards. The true project commit history speaks for itself.
