[Bitpush] Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan recently wrote a letter to clients with a pretty stunning prediction—the crypto market could grow 10 to 20 times over the next decade.
He pointed out a key signal: the new SEC Chairman Paul Atkins said that all US stocks will “move on-chain” within a few years. What does that mean? Right now, the US stock market is valued at about $68 trillion, but tokenized stocks on-chain are only $670 million—a massive gap. The potential here is almost hard to imagine.
According to Hougan, stablecoins, asset tokenization, and Bitcoin are sectors that will become increasingly important. But here’s the issue—no one can say for sure which chain will ultimately win out. So his advice is pretty practical: don’t go all-in on a single network. Instead, use a market-cap-weighted crypto index fund to diversify and cover the entire market.
In other words, the trend is clear, but it’s hard to predict who the winner will be. In times like this, diversification is likely safer than betting everything on one chain.

Is Putting $68 Trillion of US Stocks on the Blockchain Just a Matter of Time? This CIO Says the Crypto Market Could Still Grow 10x
