Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor stated that the company will not issue preferred perpetual bonds (digital credit) in Japan within the next 12 months, giving Metaplanet a one-year head start. Meanwhile, Metaplanet plans to launch two new digital credit products in Japan, “Mercury” and “Mars,” corresponding to Strategy’s STRK and STRC, with target yields higher than traditional bank deposits. Currently, there are only 5 publicly listed companies in Japan that have issued preferred perpetual bonds, and Metaplanet is expected to become the 6th and 7th issuer. (CoinDesk)
