I've been hanging around a certain decentralized social protocol since 2021—back when most people hadn't even heard of social graphs on-chain. Fast forward to 2023, my co-founder and I shipped Bountycaster, a platform designed to help folks actually earn crypto for real work while building verifiable reputation. No middlemen taking cuts, just direct value exchange.
The whole premise was simple: people do great work, they get paid in crypto, and their track record lives on-chain. Turns out that resonated with quite a few builders.
Then 2025 rolled around and things shifted—I officially joined the core team. Been thinking about distributed social infrastructure for years as a user and builder, now getting to work on it from the inside. The transition from building on top of a protocol to contributing to the protocol itself hits different.
Still early days but the potential for crypto-native social + reputation systems remains underexplored. More to come.
