Spotted something interesting on the charts lately. When you catch a long lower wick getting followed by a long upper wick? Yeah, that's usually your cue the price is about to tank.

Flip the script though — long upper wick first, then a long lower wick rolls in? Price tends to rip upward more often than not.

Not some magic formula, but these wick patterns have shown up enough times that they're worth keeping on your radar when you're reading price action.

Wait, I still don't get it even when I reverse the logic... I fall for it every time.

Another wick pattern analyst, there’s something to it but don’t be too superstitious.

This theory sounds good, but I always feel that charts can be misleading.

I've been using this lower and upper shadow line strategy for a while now, and the backtested win rate is pretty decent.

I’ve heard about wick patterns too many times; the key is still to look at the trading volume, man.

When a long lower shadow is followed by a long upper shadow, it’s time to get out. I’ve seen this pattern way too many times, and I’m pretty good at getting cut, haha.

Well, I've figured out this wicks pattern a long time ago, but there have been very few times when it actually made money.
