The train hasn’t left! (stop lamenting)

When Satoshi Nakamoto proposed Bitcoin, many people laughed at his idea. Throughout the crypto world, there are many first-hand stories about people underestimating the potential of a concept that we now take for granted. Some even mocked the possibility that “internet magic money” would ever become something. Today, we know they were wrong.

There were also people who believed in that ideal early on. People who were rewarded for adopting and investing early. These people inspire admiration or envy in many, as they took risks and won, while those who didn’t take Satoshi’s proposal seriously gained no wealth at all.

Even today, many people still think in terms of “missing the train.” But maybe those people misunderstand what the real train is, and when it really departs.

Didn’t get rich all these years? Stop feeling depressed and beating yourself up. Blaming yourself constantly for what you didn’t do distracts you from “buying the ticket” and getting on board. First of all, getting rich is only a potential part of the journey. Second, the train keeps passing, and will keep passing, taking people toward the future.

That train many believe they’ve missed is a process of change, evolution, and growth that’s far too long to have been missed in the first 10 years of cryptocurrency’s existence. Remember, the track it takes us on is the discovery and adoption of peer-to-peer electronic cash on a global scale.

If you keep complaining that the train has already left, and even cultivate resentment against the early adopters, you’re wasting time you could be using to learn about the true purpose of this paradigm shift. Plus, you could be using resources to acquire the necessary tools to enrich yourself or start accumulating cryptos that may have a great future in this process.

Don’t be lazy. There are no magic solutions. Do what the early adopters did and you’ll likely get similar results. You may even become one of them. It’s 2021 and Bitcoin was born in 2009. Put it in perspective: do you really think all the trains have left? In such a short time? If so, maybe you’ve missed something fundamental: the transformative power of electronic cash aims to change the entire world, and we’re only at the beginning of this journey.
