A couple of days ago, I received an invitation and attended the second season Demo Day for entrepreneurs at a certain incubator. To be honest, I used to be just a student running around to various events, only focusing on individual projects—checking out a DeFi protocol one day, and keeping an eye on an NFT platform the next.
But this time was different.
When you’re sitting in that venue, surrounded by founders, investors, and tech leads, each talking about what they're building, suddenly a lot of the fragmented pieces come together. Some are working on Layer2 infrastructure, others on on-chain data tools, and some teams are focused on Web3 social protocols. Each of these things might seem unremarkable on its own, but when you look at them together, you realize they mesh like gears.
That feeling is truly fascinating—it’s like you usually only see a single tree, but this time you finally see the entire forest growing. People often say “the times are accelerating,” and it turns out that’s not just empty talk; you can actually feel it in a single room.
Shifting from an observer to an insider, the perspective really does change completely.

This is true enlightenment—from looking at individual projects to understanding the operational logic of the entire ecosystem. That leap isn't easy.
---
Damn, is this what the gears meshing feels like? No wonder the teams that raise funds quickly are all banding together.
---
But seriously, you still have to experience it in person. Just scrolling through tweets will never fully teach you this lesson.
---
This demo day was really on point. I feel like a lot of projects are actually complementary—I hadn’t realized that before.
---
Haha, yet another "I finally get it" story, but it’s true that demo day can really change your perspective.
---
Wait, how are the infrastructure teams doing with fundraising these days? That’s the real indicator of whether the ecosystem is mature, right?
---
The forest does grow, but the speed depends on whether there are real demand-side buyers. Just having the gears turn isn’t enough.
---
I want to attend an event like this too. I feel like I’m always just looking at fragmented pieces.

Ah, this is what they call an enlightenment moment. The part where the gears mesh is truly brilliant.

Haha, seriously, there's a huge difference between seeing things from a retail investor's perspective and viewing the whole ecosystem. I loved that part about the gears meshing together.

ngl this is exactly like watching separate ingredients finally come together in a tasting menu... layer2s, data tools, social protocols - each course playing its part until suddenly the whole dining experience clicks. that ecosystem moment hits different fr
