The report shows that ChatGPT's user growth has already slowed down.
According to Sensor Tower data, ChatGPT’s growth rate is slowing down. Between August and November 2025, its monthly active users increased by only 6%, reaching about 810 million, indicating that the market has become saturated. Meanwhile, Google’s Gemini saw a 30% increase in monthly active users during the same period, mainly due to its Nano Banana image model. Gemini’s in-app usage time also doubled to 11 minutes per day, while ChatGPT’s usage time increased by only 6%. ChatGPT’s global share of monthly active users dropped by 3 percentage points over four months, while competitors such as Perplexity and Claude achieved triple-digit growth.
