Cloudflare sudden outage for 25 minutes: Not a hacker attack, official details disclosed

[BlockBeats] On December 5, global leading CDN service provider Cloudflare experienced an unexpected outage. According to the official post-incident analysis, the disruption lasted for about 25 minutes and affected websites and applications worldwide that rely on its services.

It is worth noting that Cloudflare explicitly stated in its announcement that this service interruption was not caused by an external cyberattack. This clarification is particularly important for the cryptocurrency industry—after all, many exchanges, DeFi protocols, and NFT platforms use Cloudflare’s protection services. If it had been mistaken for a hacker attack, it could have triggered market panic.

Although the 25-minute outage was not very long, any service disruption can cause user experience issues for Web3 projects that operate 24/7. The official team has not yet disclosed the specific technical cause of the incident, but a more detailed technical review report is expected in the future.

25 minutes? That’s already a disaster for an exchange. I wonder how many people got liquidated.

In just 25 minutes, the entire crypto community was shocked. It’s really hard to hold on... Luckily, it wasn’t a hacker, otherwise the market would have crashed.

25 minutes, my contract almost got liquidated, scared me to death. --- Damn, it's Cloudflare again, why is it always the one dropping the ball? --- At least it's not a hacker attack, otherwise the crypto space would be in chaos again. --- The key thing is they didn't explain the reason, how can anyone feel reassured like this? --- The system is supposed to run 24/7 but has issues after a short while, that's some real confidence right there. --- Wait, there was no market crash this time? I thought it was another big event. --- Cloudflare really needs to fix this problem, it's so annoying when it happens out of nowhere.
