Start to panic when the market pulls back 10%? Honestly, this kind of mentality really isn’t suited for playing in this market.
The crypto market has never been some guaranteed, risk-free retirement fund. Volatility is the essence here—you have to get used to it. Those meme coins linked to Trump, like Co nan, surge like crazy and crash just as hard. The people chasing them either truly believe or are just in it for the high risk and high reward—in other words, they’re betting real money on a possibility.
The old saying is true: the rougher the seas, the more valuable the fish. But the prerequisite is that you can withstand the waves. This is especially true in the derivatives market—if you add leverage, it’s either get rich quick or get liquidated; there’s basically no middle ground. If you can’t even handle basic drawdowns, it’s better to just stick with fixed income products, so your heart doesn’t have to take the daily stress.
