Been thinking about x402 lately - will it make a comeback?
With the institutional backing still there, it's not a matter of if, but when. The real question: which competitor actually has defensible moats?
What's your pick and what makes it stick?

The institutional power is there, they will definitely come back, but the real question is who can hold the trenches.

To be honest, whether x402 can make a comeback depends on whether institutions will actually step in this time. So far, it all still seems to be just on paper.

Institutional funds are still around, and a review is indeed just a matter of time... But to be honest, there are very few projects with a real moat right now—most are just hyping themselves.

When it comes to institutions buying the dip, to put it bluntly, they're just waiting for retail investors to take over their positions.

To be honest, the fact that institutions are still around says something... It should have rebounded by now, so why is it still dragging on? In my opinion, it's better to pay attention to those projects that truly have a moat. As for x402, let's wait until the direction is clearer before making any moves.
