CZ recently made a big move—on December 5th, he announced something pretty interesting: he’s gradually stepping back from day-to-day management.

He’s not retiring, just shifting his focus. Now, he’s mainly watching over two things: one is the ecosystem development of BNB Chain, and the other is serving as a crypto advisor to several countries. Doesn’t that sound a bit like a “behind-the-scenes boss”?

Honestly, the timing is quite subtle. The co-founders and new CEO Richard Teng have complementary strengths, and the team is now mature enough to operate independently. This kind of “delegation” is actually a stage many founders go through—you can’t be hands-on forever. When it’s time to let the team take flight, you have to let go.

But what’s more worth pondering is what he’s moving on to.

BNB Chain, to put it simply, is the foundation of the whole ecosystem. With CZ personally overseeing it, resources will definitely tilt in that direction. On-chain projects, developers, capital flows—there might be new developments coming up. After all, when someone at the founder’s level personally gets involved, that’s a pretty clear signal.

On the other hand, he’s becoming a crypto advisor to various governments. This isn’t just about dealing with regulations—it’s about participating in rule-making. The crypto industry has long been criticized for “wild growth,” but now, major players are proactively approaching regulatory systems, which is definitely positive for the long-term development of the entire industry. Of course, it could also mean that future policies will become clearer, or perhaps more “strict.”

So, is this move a strategic upgrade or a compromise under regulatory pressure? Or maybe both?

Will BNB Chain experience a boom thanks to CZ’s renewed focus? We’ll probably have to see what happens in the coming months to find out. What do you all think?

Tsk, CZ is really playing a long game here. Hurry up and buy projects in the BNB Chain ecosystem, the signal of resource allocation is already very obvious. The role of government advisor is a bit subtle, feels like paving the way for future regulation. To put it bluntly, it's either upgrade or be forced to comply—anyway, BNB Chain has a big chance to win.

Hmm... CZ's move this time feels a bit like "wanting to have it both ways"—delegating power to Teng but still keeping a close eye on BNB Chain. That's hardly a real exit. The government advisor part is indeed interesting, but I always feel that when the crypto space gets this close to regulation, it will either die from strict compliance or be tightly controlled, losing its freedom. Anyway, BNB Chain will definitely soar in the short term, but I'm still a bit worried about the long run, since the rule-making power is still in their hands. Wait, is he really going to be an advisor, or is he just paving the way to endorse himself? This isn't that simple. So should we buy the dip on BNB now? Or wait and see for a few months first?

This move is really interesting; CZ is about to get involved in something big. BNB Chain is about to take off, and resource allocation is inevitable. But getting close to the government feels a bit tricky. Will the regulations get stricter? Who knows. Let's wait and see what happens next. The key is to watch how the data trends.

Damn, CZ is about to go all in on BNB Chain. I get the signal—gotta hurry and make my move. Listen to me, you need to keep a close eye on projects on BNB Chain. If resources are being shifted here, there’s definitely opportunities to be had—lots of chances for contract interactions, and you don’t want to miss out on those free airdrops. Regulation seems stable now, at least there’s no need to constantly worry about sudden policy crackdowns. That’s a long-term positive for the industry. Richard Teng taking over daily operations shows the team is really maturing, but the real action will be whatever CZ does on-chain. Still waiting to see what moves he makes.
