I’m deep into Polymarket lately, followed a ton of accounts, and today ten of them posted the exact same “Google insider” slop. Zero effort. Just copy-paste engagement farming dressed up as “alpha.”

Out of a hundred accounts, maybe three to five actually post real signals in real time. The rest is CT-grade noise. Last time someone’s thread made me money was Q2 on HyperEVM when .hl nerds were actually digging for EV.

Another thing nobody mentions: wallet tracking. In illiquid markets you’ll eventually get wrecked by malicious players who know you’re watching and will happily exploit you, same way Solana KOLs farmed followers then dumped on their heads. Same playbook, new arena.

And let’s stop pretending. Prediction markets it’s S-tier rebranding of sports betting. Sites rewrote the script, slapped “speculation” on it, and tossed it at users like it’s some intellectual revolution.

I’m in a few PM groups, and more than half people there just bet to bet: favorites, NBA, NFL, Champions League, whatever game is on that night. They call it “prediction” so it feels less like gambling, then sprinkle airdrop hopium on top, because you make volume.

After a few weeks, it’s clear most are totally lost, and the real value isn’t in sports at all.

Polymarket can be a solid income stream for smart people here, but only if you build actual edge instead of another socially acceptable gambling addiction .
