On December 4, CryptoQuant published an analysis stating that the velocity metric of the XRP Ledger has broken its annual high, reaching 0.0324, indicating a significant increase in network economic activity and on-chain transaction volume. This metric measures how frequently an asset circulates within the network; a high velocity suggests that XRP tokens are being rapidly exchanged among market participants rather than being held for the long term.
This phenomenon reflects high market liquidity as well as active participation from traders or significant capital movement by large holders (whales). Regardless of market direction, the data confirm that the XRP network is experiencing one of its most active periods in 2025, with user engagement reaching its peak.
