Last week, I visited the new launch pad LC-3 at Rocket Lab on Whalers Island. It is quite magnificent. They are preparing for their new rocket, Neutron.

This Neutron thing? It's huge. Standing at 141 feet tall. It uses methane and liquid oxygen. Apparently, it can deliver 13 kilograms of cargo into orbit. This is a significant leap compared to their current rockets.

Some interesting things happened during the event:

CEO Peter Beck is talking about going to other planets. They have prepared satellites for Mars. Surprisingly, they might use their own rockets to achieve this goal.

They are also paying attention to different markets. Satellite constellations, of course. But there is also cargo supply. It seems they want to compete with the big players.

The key lies in - human spaceflight. Although it is not very clear, they hinted at this. This may be another option for NASA and other agencies.

You know, with these larger rockets, who knows? Maybe we'll see some cool new technology. Blue Stripe rocket or something.

Anyway, this new launch platform is a big deal for Rocket Lab. They have indeed made waves in the aerospace industry.
