Liquidation Heatmap $BTC 7 Days
CME Futures contracts opened today in just 4 hours...
I wouldn't be surprised if we see another rally to wipe out the weekly short positions at 80k before the next drop.
I have a limit order to add to my short position at 79,900, just in case. 😉

Looking at the past 9 months, one thing stands out clearly.
Most of the time, we see upward momentum at the beginning of the month, followed by a weakening throughout the rest of the month.
The only exceptions are November and February, where the previous month already ended with a sharp decline, and that decline continued into the new month.
Now that May has begun, we are once again seeing similar behavior with a broader pattern.
Prices have already risen about 3% on the first day, making the likelihood of further increases very high.
This will also clear out liquidity that

Testing the Bitcoin bearish trend reversal
As mentioned yesterday, Bitcoin was rejected at the lowest level of the local range (~77k).
So I added to my short position at 77.5k.
Still anticipating a continuation/retest of 73.6k (the previous week's lowest level).

Many people ask why I am making this trade, so here are the reasons:
At the weekly open, the price surged, sweeping liquidity above the previous week's high and the weekend's range high.
Right after that, we see an immediate rejection followed by a decline below all lower time frame bullish trends + shifting the market structure toward bearish.
The rejection occurs precisely at the golden FIB level from the last higher time frame decline, while the overall structure continues to print lower highs and lower lows, confirming that the overall trend remains bearish.

$ETH dropped below $2,300 with a -3.90% decrease in the last 24 hours.
The long ratio of 262% initially appeared bullish, but the reality is different. 616 whale longs experienced a loss of -$49.7 million with an average entry price of around $2,402, while 296 whale shorts actually gained +$8.69 million near $2,337, clearly indicating that shorts still hold control despite the long bias.
The bearish trend continues to push into the supply zone, and there is no acceptance on the upside. Therefore, I will take a short position.
