The recent airdrop season has become lively again, and the task platforms are even doing reverse witch hunts. Once the points system came out, the grab-and-go crowd really started to compete like clocking in at work. I initially thought, "Just practice a bit," but as soon as I saw the leaderboard and progress bars, I got itchy—basically, I was afraid of missing out, afraid of becoming that unlucky person who "participated but didn't get anything."

But once practice turns into expectations, it's easy to get out of control: authorizations become smoother the more you click, wallets change more and more, and the trouble isn't the risk, but habitual trust. My stop-loss is pretty simple: only use a dedicated wallet, only give the minimum permissions. When I find myself repeatedly signing strange authorizations, crossing too many chains, or needing to link social media, I stop immediately; I also set a time limit—if I haven't figured out what I'm doing after half an hour, I consider today's points as lost. Anyway, points aren't money, but my attention and risk exposure are. That's it for now.
