Recently, I’ve noticed that many people are asking what IBO is, especially those new to the cryptocurrency world. Actually, it’s not as complicated as it seems; today I will explain more clearly about IBO and how to make money through it.
First, let’s talk about RGB++ – the new protocol on Bitcoin. Unlike traditional RGB, RGB++ is designed to expand Bitcoin’s scripting capabilities without the need for cross-chain bridges. It uses fully Turing-complete UTXO validation, ensuring Bitcoin’s security while deploying smart contracts via the RGB++ Layer. This creates an independent and universal UTXO smart contract layer, opening up many new possibilities.
And that’s exactly why IBO was created. IBO, or Initial Bitcoin Offering, is the first launchpad platform in the Bitcoin ecosystem. It allows projects to raise funds directly on the Bitcoin mainnet and other UTXO chains through smart contracts on the RGB++ Layer. Compared to traditional ICOs, IBO focuses on the Bitcoin ecosystem, with circulating supply directly on the UTXO chain without bridges, significantly enhancing security and efficiency.
The mechanism of IBO also works quite interestingly. Projects can launch IBOs on Bitcoin, Dogechain, BCH, and other UTXO chains. The funds from the IBO will be automatically locked by smart contracts and initial liquidity will be created on UTXOSwap, while LP tokens are locked for one year. Most tokens will be distributed for free to the community via staking, encouraging quick circulation and reducing unlock pressure for VCs.
The IBO price is equivalent to the seed round price, ensuring that both community and VCs have equal trading conditions. The sale uses a binding curve method; if the target isn’t met within the specified time, the IBO fails and the funds are automatically refunded.
Want to make money through IBO? The simplest way is to participate in high-quality IBOs. You will receive tokens at a low price, and when the project succeeds in the market, the token price usually rises sharply, bringing significant profits. Additionally, staking CKB or Seal is also a good option because these are top assets in the RGB++ ecosystem. Staking them allows you to receive airdrops of 20 Seal from the IBO platform, gaining both IBO tokens and potential value appreciation.
An important detail is to closely monitor the market developments of the IBO platform and the UTXO ecosystem to timely grasp project information and execute trades at the right moments.
In summary, IBO is a new fundraising method emerging within the Bitcoin ecosystem, offering opportunities to participate in high-quality projects and earn substantial profits. Understanding what IBO is and how it works will help you seize new opportunities in this cryptocurrency world.
