The first batch of 50 high-quality manufacturing pilot platforms selected and organized has made a concentrated debut.
In recent years, Beijing has always based itself on the real needs of industries, and, following the approach of “industries set the questions, mechanisms answer the questions,” has continued to strengthen its capacity to support manufacturing innovation. Chen Zhaohui, Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, introduced that Beijing has currently built 4 national manufacturing pilot platforms, 23 pilot platforms that are key areas being cultivated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and 146 pilot platforms that have been included in the national pilot service system. “The compilation and release of the ‘Beijing Manufacturing Pilot Platform Open Service Manual)2026 Edition(’ is a concrete practice of Beijing integrating high-quality pilot resources across the whole city. It aims to achieve an effective connection between technological breakthroughs and industrial applications through enterprise-based operations and specialized pilot-platform services, promote innovative results to move quickly from laboratories to production lines, and lay a solid foundation for innovation transformation for the development of Beijing’s high-precision, high-end, and innovative industries.”
The 50 manufacturing pilot platforms released this time cover eight key industrial fields: new-generation information technology, pharmaceutical and health, green advanced energy and low-carbon environmental protection, integrated circuits, robotics and intelligent manufacturing, intelligent connected vehicles, space and aerospace technology, and new materials. They basically achieve full coverage of pilot services for Beijing’s high-precision, high-end, and innovative industries.
Each platform is equipped with advanced international and domestic pilot equipment and supporting facilities, and can provide end-to-end pilot services such as design verification, process improvement, scale-up and pilot maturation, small-batch trial production, performance testing, and compliance support. Some platforms also have the capacity to provide value-added services such as shared instrument and equipment resources, talent training and practical skill exercises, and drafting and revising standards. The service targets cover various innovation entities such as enterprises, universities, and scientific research institutes.
