Building Materials ETF Guotai (159745) rose over 1% during the trading session, with net inflows of over 150 million yuan in the past five days. The building materials industry is expected to accelerate its clearing.
On April 7, the Guotai Building Materials ETF (159745) rose more than 1% intraday. Over the past 5 days, it saw net inflows of more than 150 million yuan, and the building materials industry is expected to accelerate its clearing process.
Caitong Securities noted that for traditional cyclical products such as cement, leading companies have relatively good barrier-profit advantages. With the industry expected to accelerate its clearing process, it has medium- to long-term bottom-value potential. The market’s current core concern is that costs may not be passed on when demand is weak, but it believes that demand expectations for infrastructure and real estate are expected to gradually improve. Cement is expected to benefit from year-on-year improvement in resumption of work after the Spring Festival, as well as improved expectations for real estate demand. Looking at the medium to long term, as the industry continues to strengthen anti-“involution” efforts, capacity approvals, and ongoing coordination, the supply landscape may continue to optimize. From a cyclical-products perspective, it believes that while leading cement companies are less likely to achieve high elasticity in the current environment, they may already be close to the bottom area and still have good investment value—especially cement companies that have expanded overseas, whose revenue and performance continue to maintain solid growth rates.
The Guotai Building Materials ETF (159745) tracks the Building Materials Index (931009). This index mainly covers companies engaged in the production and sale of building materials. It selects securities of listed companies involved in manufacturing fields such as cement, glass, and ceramics as index sample constituents to reflect the overall performance of listed companies related to the building materials industry. Overall, the index has relatively strong cyclical characteristics, and its performance is significantly influenced by factors such as the real estate market and infrastructure investment.
