Abstract generation in progress

OpenAI has released an open-source, prompt-based safety policy designed to help developers, especially independent teams, more easily integrate youth protection features into their AI applications. These policies were developed in collaboration with Common Sense Media and everyone.ai, covering issues such as violent imagery, harmful aesthetic standards, and age-restricted content. While compatible with various models, they are optimized for OpenAI’s own gpt-oss-safeguard. The initiative aims to establish a foundational “safety baseline” for the entire ecosystem and build upon it to improve existing safety measures, such as parental controls and the latest guidelines for interactions with users under 18.
