Abstract generation in progress

The West Virginia Public Service Commission has approved new rates for West Virginia American Water, leading to an annualized revenue increase of $20.5 million to support over $239 million in infrastructure investments. Residential water bills will increase by approximately $6 and wastewater bills by $7 per month for customers using 3,000 gallons, while customers on the Special Reduced Rate Residential Service (SRRRS) tariff will receive an additional 20% discount. These changes are effective March 1, 2026, and aim to balance essential system improvements with customer affordability.
