China Economic Net Beijing, March 24 — Today, the main contract of gold futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange’s daytime session fluctuated lower, with trading volume decreasing and open interest increasing. The main 2606 contract closed at 979.80 yuan, down 1.24% or 12.30 yuan; trading volume was 363,001 lots; open interest was 159,914 lots, an increase of 3,515 lots.

Overnight, COMEX gold futures fell 3.74%, closing at $4,437.20 per ounce.
