[Caixin] “Fossil fuels have been clearly identified as weapons of war; green energy is the carrier of peace.” Andrew Forrest, Chairman and Founder of Fortescue Metals Group, stated at the China Development High-Level Forum 2026 on March 22.

He said that the core, autonomy, and independence of any country ultimately depend on energy sovereignty. Energy independence is at the heart of financial independence — the industrial and business sectors are deeply recognizing this.
