trenching is nothing what it used to be

2021 you didn’t even need to be good. you just bought whatever was on CT or twitter and held. random BSC coins with useless utility or tokenomics. everything went up. your uber driver was telling you about safemoon. nobody knew what they were doing and THAT WAS THE POINT. pure vibes. everyone was winning together and your boys were celebrations every day.
that was real peak, and nothing has come close
2023 was different. the hype was gone, the “tourists” left and it was just the ones who stayed through the bear. small gcs with the same 10 guys who were 24/7 finding coins, holding and shilling. someone would drop a contract at 50k mcap and everyone would just ape. no terminal, no bubblemaps. rugs were just part of it, you’d get rugged then hit a 40x later on. everyone was holding. it took longer to buy than the average hold time today. you were just in it together finding shit before anyone else. the rest of crypto had no idea what was happening in those trenches and that’s what made it good
2024/2025 had its moments. WIF, BONK, TRUMP. good money was made. but even that was already a diluted version of what came before
now look around. the gcs are quiet, half the people you used to trench with either blew up or turned into KOLs making casino deals. everyone’s sniping. everyone’s copy trading everyone. nobody apes plays anymore because every shill is just exit liquidity.
the traders aren’t the same either. it used to be smart degens with conviction. now it’s fortnite kids optimizing entries on coins they don’t even believe in, selling after 8 seconds. no one’s having fun, it’s all forced
we’ll still get seasons. some token will do 1000x and everyone will say we’re back. but each time it’s a little less. a little more dead
the game’s not dead it just doesn’t feel like anything anymore
WIF-3,66%
BONK-3,07%
TRUMP-5,06%
