According to U.S. officials on Friday, since the start of military operations against Iran, 232 U.S. service members have been injured, most of whom suffered traumatic brain injuries (TBI). About 207 have returned to duty, and 10 are seriously injured.

Last week, a U.S. KC-135 air force refueling plane crashed over friendly-controlled territory in western Iraq, killing all six crew members onboard. At the time, the aircraft was supporting military actions against Iran. This crash resulted in at least 13 U.S. military deaths in the Iran conflict codenamed “Operation Epic Fury.”

President Trump paid tribute on Wednesday at a military base in Delaware to the six U.S. service members who died in the crash. This was his second solemn military funeral ceremony since the war against Iran began on February 28.
