Apple is in discussions with banks to launch payment services in India.
Apple is in talks with major Indian banks and global card organizations, planning to launch Apple Pay in India around mid-2026. Apple is negotiating with ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and payment networks Mastercard and Visa regarding the plan. The Indian version of Apple Pay is expected to support both the government-led Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and bank card payments. (Sina Finance)
