What strategic blind spots did the US reveal in the Iran conflict?

On March 15 local time, during an interview program, American international relations scholar Mearsheimer directly exposed the false sense of victory maintained by the US since the start of the war. He bluntly stated that the US cannot win the Iran war, and this only proves that “we are fools.”

That day, Mearsheimer, in a conversation with renowned Australian international politics journalist Tom Switzer, said: “We simply cannot win against Iran. The message we are sending is that we are a bunch of fools, the ones who provoked a war we cannot possibly win.”

Mearsheimer mentioned that the UK’s Financial Times also criticized, saying “the US does not have enough military power to achieve any of its stated goals, and it has no plan,” and “they are completely right.”

“So, the US should ask itself, how will China see this? How will Russia see this? It will only tell them how incompetent we are,” Mearsheimer added.
