Deep Tide TechFlow News: On February 25th, Caixin reported that a hearing on the “Legal Application Issues” regarding the laundering of 60,000 Bitcoins will be held in July. Chinese victims planning to pursue recovery through the UK process need to provide additional detailed financial information, including total investment, losses, and any compensation received and evidence, by June 18, 2026, after completing initial registration. It is understood that this hearing will be crucial for the disposal of the 60,000 Bitcoins. Under Chinese law, victims have a creditor-debtor relationship with Lantian Grey, and can only recover their principal; under UK law, victims hold proprietary rights to the Bitcoins, and the appreciated value of the losses may also be recoverable.
