Abstract generation in progress

Xcel Energy and Google are partnering to build a new Google data center in Pine Island, Minnesota, which will be supported by clean energy from wind, solar, and iron-air battery storage. This project is expected to bring significant local investment, create jobs, foster economic growth, and contribute to Minnesota’s carbon-free energy goals without increasing rates for current Xcel Energy customers. The agreement is awaiting review by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.
