WHO: Since the beginning of this year, Sudanese medical facilities have experienced 5 attacks resulting in 69 deaths

On February 21 local time, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus posted on social media that since 2026, WHO has recorded five armed attacks targeting healthcare facilities in Sudan, resulting in 69 deaths and 49 injuries. Tedros called on all parties involved in the Sudan armed conflict to immediately cease all attacks on healthcare facilities. He emphasized that healthcare facilities, medical personnel, and patients must be fully protected. (CCTV News)
