Firefighting and other related departments immediately rushed to the scene to carry out extinguishing efforts. Due to the fire starting near Korea’s largest national oil reserve facility—the Daejuk Resource Reserve Industrial Park—and under the influence of strong winds, there is a risk of the fire spreading to critical infrastructure, causing high concern among relevant authorities. The Suseong Fire Department raised the response level to Level 2 around 4:10 PM local time, mobilizing all available equipment from the district and neighboring fire stations, with a focus on preventing the fire from spreading toward the industrial park. Additionally, on the same day, a forest fire also broke out in Yisan County, Chungcheongnam-do.
