On February 4th local time, at the open meeting of the United Nations Security Council on counter-terrorism, Alexander Zuev, Acting Deputy Secretary-General of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, briefed in English, Russian, French, and Spanish. Chinese Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Sun Lei said during his speech that he looks forward to Zuev also briefing in Chinese next time. Zuev listened, smiled, and nodded in acknowledgment. It is understood that the official UN languages are Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, and Arabic. (CCTV News)
