In trading, what's more important than catching the trend is this!

The most common mistake in trading is always following the market with your heart, forgetting to first stabilize yourself. The market is always there, but truly your own opportunities are actually few.

Many times, it's not that the market isn't good enough, but that your heart is too impatient. Before you even recognize familiar signals, you can't help but want to enter the market, fearing to miss the volatility; by the time the signal actually appears, you're hesitant about whether to act, and in the end, you watch the opportunity slip away. Ultimately, it's because you haven't learned to stay calm when there are no signals.

When signals appear, you should decisively step in without hesitation. But you must understand that signals are just a starting point; they don't guarantee a big move afterward. Any entry point is a balance point between bulls and bears; the market can go up smoothly or reverse downward—that's normal.

If you're wrong, exit promptly and don't hold onto the hope of "waiting a bit longer"; if you're right, follow your pre-planned strategy—when to add to your position, when to reduce, and when to protect profits. These should all be thought through before entering, and then executed accordingly. Only when the market gives a clear exit signal should you calmly close your position.

This is what people often call "Plan your trades, trade your plan." The former is about thoroughly understanding the rules before entering, and the latter is about strictly following those rules during the position.

In trading, market conditions are never in our control, but whether you can seize your own opportunities depends entirely on whether you can stay calm and stick to your plan. Think less about "Will the market come?" and practice more "When the signal arrives, dare I act? If I make a mistake, can I admit it? If I'm right, can I hold on?" This is more useful than constantly watching the ups and downs.

After all, the market isn't short of volatility; what’s missing is people who can hold their ground amid the fluctuations. #Gate广场发帖领五万美金红包 $BTC
